Main Street Vermilion has a scavenger hunt just for the wee ones! Stop in the Main Street office during regular business hours and pick up the clues to Sailors on Liberty, 10 salty figures hidden in participating merchant's stores located within easy walking distance throughout downtown Vermilion. They're expecting you! Do your best to find all 10 and Main Street has a treat waiting for you at the finish. It's easy, fun, and free!
Main Street Vermilion has teams with Workshop Players in Amherst to bring you an evening of "southern fried" hilarity on Thursday, September 22nd at 8PM. "Dearly Beloved" is a comedy about a family wedding, love and chaos and stars Vermilion's own Debbie Burrow as one of the nutty Futrelle sisters.
Tickets are $25 and help support the Ice-A-Fair held in February. Stop in at the Main Street Office for more information or to purchase your ticket. This play is best seen with friends!
You are invited to a special after-hours reception at Ritter Public Library to see the new Fresnel lens that will be installed in Vermilion's Lighthouse.
See the lens up close and meet the designer and builder, Dan Spinella on Saturday, September 10 from 7 to 9PM. This event is co-sponsored by the Lighthouse Preservation Committee and the Friends of Ritter and free and open to the public.
